Frequently Asked Questions

CAN I USE MY INSURANCE FOR A WALK-IN VISIT?
The walk-in service is for CASH DISCOUNT ONLY (Vist our Cash Discount page to learn more) and follows the same fee structure. If you would like to use your insurance, we will work with you to schedule an appointment. We ALWAYS have same day appointments during our regular appointment hours!

HOW DO I ASK FOR THE WALK-IN SERVICE?
You may visit our office during designated walk-in hours and identify yourself as “WALK-IN CASH DISCOUNT, no appointment, please!”

HOW IS A WALK-IN VISIT DIFFERENT FROM AN APPOINTMENT VISIT?
Virtually NO difference for YOU, the patient. You will still have a documented record of your visit and you will ALWAYS be seen by Dr. Peter Sotos. You will be required to fill out some basic forms relating to your address & privacy requests and we will ask about your medical history as it relates to your problem today.

HOW DOES THE WALK-IN SERVICE BENEFIT MY FAMILY AND ME?
We have added walk-in hours to provide more convenient and economical options for our community members who are experiencing minor illnesses or injuries and want personalized and affordable care.

I THOUGHT DR. SOTOS ONLY DID ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY?
Dr. Sotos is a fully trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, yes. However, parts of his training and everyday practice of surgery include treatment of a wide variety of conditions, especially as they might relate to or arise during his care of the patient during their surgery or recovery period.

DID YOU KNOW? Before specializing in Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Sotos was trained in Internal Medicine and General Surgery. He also spent time at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
We are offering these additional levels of service because we ARE concerned about how health care will be delivered in the coming months and years. We see our patient population struggling with the insurance requirements laid upon them through no fault of their own. It would be a shame if someone who really NEEDED care did not seek that care due to fear of expense.

Dr. Sotos has practiced at ACMH since 1981, almost all of his professional life, and refuses to give up on his work and the people of his community - his life’s work.

He is proud to be of service to the community and will continue to do so.
